Australia Electonic Travel Authority (Visa)
An ETA (Visitor) visa is designed for people who are outside Australia and want to visit Australia for holidays, tourism, recreation or for informal study.
All USA and Canadian visitors to Australia need to apply for either a visa or an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). An ETA will let you spend up to three months in Australia. An ETA allows the holder to travel to Australia as many times as required within the validity period which is 12 months from the date of issue. The maximum length of each visit is three months.
If we issue your international ticket from North America to Australia we will process your ETA for free. Please fill out the information below.

An ETA is an electronically stored authority equivalent to a visa. There is no stamp or label placed in your passport. An ETA is linked to the passport number and the holder must use the same passport to travel to Australia.
An ETA is not designed to allow repeated extended stays in Australia. If you want to spend long periods in Australia for tourism purposes you can consider applying for Tourist visa (subclass 676) or an alternative visa that suits your purposes.
You may not be permitted to enter Australia unless you are in good health and have no criminal convictions. We accept no responsibility for inaccurate information or for the denial/refusal of an ETA application by the Australian Government.
